In celebration of the 2020 Year of the Nurse and Midwife, Design Notion partnered with the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) and The Hospital Research Foundation to design a commemorative cookbook that brought together the voices, stories, and recipes of nursing and midwifery staff. Developed in response to COVID-19 event cancellations, the cookbook became a meaningful tribute, filled with staff-submitted recipes and personal reflections. Design Notion led the creative direction and layout design, resulting in a heartfelt, visually engaging publication. A total of 4,000 copies were distributed to NALHN nurses and midwives, with an additional 1,000 made available to the public.
Following this project, Design Notion continued to work with NALHN throughout the pandemic, designing impactful health communications. Our contributions included wayfinding and safety signage, pull-up banners, media walls, and branded materials like stickers and tote bags. Design Notion also created custom avatar illustrations to add warmth and approachability to health messaging. This work supported public health efforts and internal morale during a challenging and transformative time.
